The
Servant Leader Board provides help and support to both the Session and
the congregation in the practical aspects of fostering the kind of
authentic love among the members of the body of Christ as outlined by
Paul in Romans 12. Comprised of church members who each serve for three
years, the role of the Servant Leader Board is to express the communion
of saints and to develop the grace of Christian service within the
larger membership of the church. This includes general oversight and
leadership in regards to the other servant leader teams, and
recommendations to the session about the organization of the various
teams, leaders, church calendar, activities, budget, etc. The SLB meets
monthly as a group, frequently together with members of the Session to
discuss the overall health and well-being of the church and to provide
an exchange of any other related counsel deemed helpful to the
functioning of the Board.
The Servant Leader Board oversees
