Wednesday Evening Dinner and Kids Club

Where He May Be Found

Wednesday Evening Dinner and Kids Club
There is a community dinner at 5:30 every Wednesday night starting on Sept 17th.

At 6 we break into kids club, middle school discussion group, and study center classes.

Kids Club will be an adventure through Bible stories with puppets, skits, singing, crafts, and games.  You won’t want to miss out on the fun!  It will be a great opportunity for your kids to learn about the Bible and play with friends.

Middle School Food for Thought Discussions are an opportunity for those in grades 5 through 8 to discuss with pastoral staff or teachers issues in their lives like popularity.

The study center classes being offered are:

God in the Home
A seminar that will explore a Christian view of the family with special focus on a covenantal and gospel-centered approach to parenting.  Time will be spent discerning and applying a Christian theology of the family including its many practical implications for raising children with a baptismal identity.  There will be ample opportunity for discussion of the various topics that relate to parenting, family systems, review of current literature, etc.  This seminar will be taught by Rev. Preston Graham.

Living in Two Kingdoms: Christians and Culture
Is the world around us neutral or is it evil?  Christ prays that we should be in the world and not of it;  how do we work that out?  These are complex  questions that demand more than simplistic answers.  The question of church and culture becomes more complicated when we realize that Christians are often at odds with each other in how to approach this subject.  This class will provide the tools to answer these questions in a way that is consistent with our theology.  We will explore the ways in which the world constantly influences our self-image, our behaviors, and our beliefs and how to evaluate these influences, recognizing both harmful and beneficial aspects.  This seminar will be taught by Kevin Nelson and Rev. Tolivar Wills.
